West Hartford’s Executive Chef Adam Greenberg stopped by Hunt’s Point Fish Market in the Bronx to buy seafood for the Connecticut restaurants.
Here’s his report:
High wind and some snow kept boats at bay for most of weekend and early week. The market overall was limited and no one had anything “special” or many good deals. Halibut went from 10.50/# whole last week all the way to 13.50/# with Alaskan season over and only East Coast available. I was hoping for a bigger selection, but what I chose looked nice and fresh.
Each restaurant getting:
Razor Clams
Sardines
Monkfish
Whole Grouper
Keep an eye out for these things on the menu!
