This week, New Haven’s Executive Chef Frank Proto went to Hunts Point Fish Market to shop for the Connecticut restaurants. Here’s his report:
Steve, BJ, Chris, Francisco and Katie came along to check out the market tonight.
Here’s what we got:
- Albacore Tuna. Frank from Meat Without Feet had some set aside for us. Looks like it will be beautiful like last week.
- Blue Fish. Bright eyes, shiny greenish scales.
- Amberjack. I’ve never used this before and thought it was interesting. This was super fresh as well.
- Rouget. Beautiful little red fish.
